I could be wrong, but hacking was allowed in the first place because Collin used hacked clients himself, and staff have a lot less to do if there are no hackers to catch. However, hacks continue to be allowed because the majority of the player base uses them. If they weren't allowed, the remaining player base would die. Hacks being allowed is what makes Minetime unique. If hacks weren't allowed, Minetime would be just another Minecraft server. We are (or were) the largest Minecraft server that allows hacks, and that is what drew people to Minetime.

I actually strongly agree with Angel. If you saw other servers where they don't allow hacks, it is stressful trying to catch and ban the hackers. So why be stressed when you can have a server that allows hacks, it would be so much easier.
Because Its fun to be able to do what you can't on normal servers and makes things like mining funner and easier,
If they removed that rule ( hacking is allowed ) MineTime will be dead more than now . some people play it cuz they allow hacking and if not they might quit . some people wouldn't mind hiding their hacks and then they will be found and get banned . then MineTime will RIP + Kits removed even normal players quit and when the hackers quit and banned too the server will be dead and more normal people with quit
I used a somewhat popular client called wurst. I didn't want to hack anymore, to I changed my version back to vanilla. After that my minecraft would crash upon launching. I had to delete all my files and reinstall minecraft. :/
They allow hacks on the server due to it being extremely difficult to catch every hacker, and as angel said, Collin also used hacks and due to this allowed them for everyone. The only hacks that are definitely not allowed are hacks harm the server in a negative way, and these hacks will result in a permanent ban as you can see here in the rules.
