(Updated) A guide to downloading clients

HI,
I have had quite a few people asking me how to get hacks.
First thing first, Hacks are allowed. This is confusing for many people, including me at first, but that is the rule.

For windows:
1. Download a hack, You can find almost any hacks on minetime forums

Some clients:

2. Once Downloaded you open Windows startup (Bottom Left Button) and in search bar type %appdata%

3. Click on Roaming and proceed to .minecraft, then goto the Versions Folder.

4. Move your hack folder with the Jason and Jar inside it(Other things may be included) into the versions folder.

5.Then open Minecraft launcher and click edit profile

6.Then open Minecraft launcher and click edit profile. Then look for an "Use version:" drop-down bar. Scroll through the versions until you find the name of the folder that you put into the versions folder. E.g: Release Metro.
If You can't find your hack, click save profile and restart the launcher and try find it again.

7. Once you have found and selected your hack, click save profile and click Play and start Minecraft.
At this point there might be an edited menu but it will still have multiplayer. Fire up Minetime and there, You Should have a working hack to even the playing field in pvp and other activities.

Mac is a bit different, so I will explain the steps differently finishing with the same steps
Mac:

1. Download a hack, make sure it is Mac compatible as some might not work, you can usually find out in details on any website.You can find most hacked clients by searching the fourms

2. Once you have downloaded your chosen file, run a minecraft launcher and select edit profile. Next to save profile there should be a button saying "Open Game Dir" Clicking on this should lead you to a Directory with folders.

3. Select the folder called Versions and drag the hack folder into it.

4.Once there, look for an "Use version drop down bar". Scroll through the versions untill you find the name of the folder that you put into the versions folder. E.g: Release Metro.
If You cant find your hack, click save profile and restart the launcher and try find it again.

5.Once you have found and selected your hack, click save profile and click Play and start Minecraft.
At this point there might be an edited menu but it will still have multiplayer. Fire up Minetime and there, You Should have a working hack to even the playing field in pvp and other activities.

P.S.S for some old launchers there will be an additional step between steps 3-4 for mac and 5-6 for windows
Extra step: Then open Minecraft launcher and click edit profile and tick these three boxes: Enable experimental development versions ("snapshots"), Allow use of old "Beta" Minecraft versions (From 2010-2011) and Allow use of old "Alpha" Minecraft versions (From 2010). This will allow hacks to show in the versions drop-down bar

Hope no one hates for my selection as I tried to give a wide amount of choice especially from the most commonly used and easiest clients there are out there, along with some of the clients that the "Pros" use xD
