Before we start this is my opinion, if you disagree click the disagree button. The Prison Auctioning System is extremely limited to only the 'op' items in the game. If this was changed I believe it would make the server more fun for players and at the same time it would reduce people getting scammed but also making it less strict we all can see players auctioning useless items for example saplings. I thought of a solution, if Trent could make a custom plugin to skip the current auction that would make bad stuff go through the auction faster making players not to wait for the timer to run. I do like the timer and biding setings on Minetime, I have been on some other servers in the past and they had 'Anti-Sniper' plugin with there Auction plugin. This extents the time when a player bids under the 3 second time of the Auction ending. What new items would I see in the auction. You will be seeing items in the auction such as more blocks, rare items, eatables items and op items. This is a improvement from only having access to auction items like: Armor, Obsidian, Enchanted Books and tools. Here is an example of how auctioning in the future could go if this was implemented. Here is an example of a deal with the new auction settings. Here is the scene; You are too lazy to get some sand for brewing in your faction so you type: [Timeless] [Citizen] deandreRUEZ123: Buying 9 stacks of sand 57k. If you are a regular player of Minetime this has happened to you; you go to buy a fishing rod and you get a guy who seems legit, you ask them to put the fishing rod in auction but you can't. Then you give him the money for the rod and he leaves without giving you the merchandise. This will reduce scamers by buying it straight from the auction. You may be saying to your self "DeAndre you ****** this doesn't stop auction scammers" (Auction scamers are 2 people who bid a high amount of money at the end of the auction to get auction snipers) but there is no way of stopping scamers like that i only recommend placing in your bid then the max price you will go up to like this: /bid 16800 75000. People then need to bid over $75000 to beet your price thus avoiding scames. You talked about a Custom-Plugin. Yes I did, this plugin work before the 22 second timer passes you can preform it by typing /auc next. There should be 5 required 'next's' to skip the auction. I have been on a server where you can cancel at the last second, and believe me, everyone does it. What would be the point of having auctions, if everyone cancels it... It wouldn't work...
This would just clog up the auctions with useless items. As for the pass idea if 5 people wanted their auction to come up faster and would just be abused.
I know, but I went through this. If you play Prison regally you will know it's limited so making it not that limited would be cool. Also with the /auc next command.
I play prison a lot. Probably much more than you do. I know how auctions work thank you. I play it enough to know that adding items like fishing rods is a bad idea. I also play it enough to be rich enough not to care about being scammed the value of a fishing rod. And as stated before the /auc next idea is bad. It will be abused so easily.
