When I try to open Minecraft it says: registry refers to a nonexistent java runtime environment installation runtime is corrupted. Please help me! I re installed Java, re installed MC too! Uninstall all versions of java and minecraft first, make sure your pc is completely clean of any partially installed/uninslatted versions. Then try again. Also, after you install it again, make sure you are using the correct version of java, (their website should tell you so).
I keep re installing Java but still when I open MC it says the same thing! @CollinPotato can you help?
did you -un-install java before you -re-installed java or did you just try to install it a second time
uninstall all versions again make sure you drank all the java got rid of all of it by running "java -version" in command prompt
Try this; in CMD do: java -version if it can't get a java version do the below. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ 1. Right click Computer 2. Click properties 3. Click "Advanced system settings" 4. Click "Environment Variables" 5. Under system variables, find the Path variable 6. Click edit, and append to the end of the value: ";C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin" 7. Now re-open the command prompt and try again.
did you try running the verify java version tool from their website? This will tell you if you have any out-dated or incompletely installed/removed versions. I believe this is the link http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
