    Hi,

    We would like to know your feedback regarding our Factions server. You are invited to fill out feedback and leave suggestions using the the form HERE.

    Here's what we will definitely do:

    - Update to 1.12.2
    - Update NoCheatPlus - Sorry, but if your hacks suck if they can't bypass NCP.
    - New Spawn
    - 1.8 PvP Plugin

    Hmm... where have I seen this before?

    Just some suggestions I have.
    • Rewards for /f top would be nice. Players/factions would fight harder for /f top and therefore be rewarded for it.
    • (Maybe) Obsidian breaker. The whole point of factions is making it hard for others to raid you through hard work and dedication. I don't see how phasing through blocks makes raiding any fun. With cannons and obby breaker, everyone has a fair chance.
    • Adjusting spawner prices is a must. The economy on factions is far too rich and easy. Some of the spawner prices don't make any sense, such as Creeper spawners and Iron Golem spawners. Both of these drop loot which can be sold for the same price in the shop, although a Creeper spawner will cost you 2 million, where as an Iron Golem spawner would only cost 1 million? Not only that, but the selling prices for mob loot is far too high over all, and should be lowered so that players make less money from spawners, and would need to afk longer or grind longer.
    • Implementing new sources of making money would be great for less experienced users to start off, but also for regular users to begin during the start of a reset. Not everyone is lucky in finding spawners, or can afford many of them, so it would be nice to see nether warts, sugar cane and other minor items sold for some money.
    • Kits need to have better items. For an admin, to pay over $100 and only receive protection 3 armour is not good enough. Maybe giving protection 4 armour, although a cool down of 2 days instead of 1 would be much more suitable.
    As an experienced and long term factions player, I really do believe these sort of additions can make factions much more enjoyable, and less repetitive. I hope these suggestions can give you some ideas :)

    I don’t agree to /f top because it leads to extremely competitive 1% Elite. Many strong factions would join forces rather then compete against each other and ultimately making a 2-party system like the American Government. Third or fourth place factions will be way off, and everyone will either join F1 or F2. Example, back then there were only 2 known factions, one as Hydra and the other as YoMomma. The rest of the factions didn’t even matter.

    My recommendations:

    -Get rid of Phase hack
    -Increase Obsidian Price (In prison, everyone can make their invincible bases completely out of obsidian)
    -Have other types of grinding farms
    -(Very Important) Personal Accomplishment. Give individual awards for accomplishing a set amount of kills or destroying a set amount of claim land.

    Firstly, don't make two posts after each other, put them together. I don't get why you're refrencing prison into factions, they have nothing to do with each other. About /f top rewards, if the economy was much more balanced, then you wouldn't have only 2 dominant factions the entire time, it would be more balanced through the economy. Hence why I believe the number one priority would be to improve the economy. Secondly, I don't think factions would merge so easily as you say, there are many issues that you can encounter such as insides and what not, if you were to merge of course. rewards for /f top would also make factions and players, who cannot join stronger factions, work harder to get higher on the /f top list. I'm not saying there should only be a reward for number one, but maybe even second, third and fourth.

    For factions maybe add a duel plugin were factions could duel eachother for a certain item?

    -Either remove the spawner to get money concept all together, or make it easier for new players to get ahold of them and make it harder to get so op off of them. I personally dislike the spawners. You put so little work into something that gets you so op. I much prefer using nether wart farms like we used to do in 1.7, and the economy was never crazy. The economy went crazy after we added spawners.

    -Add obby breaker. Factions is no fun when it's impossible to get raided. I think factions has a huge problem with one dominant faction being way too op, and it ruins the game in certain aspects. It would be fun if everybody had a chance to be the best all the time and had to put time and effort into keeping their faction good.

    I have to say as someone who typically agrees with you on a lot, I really do not with your suggestions and I will share why.
    1. Rewards for /f top is not something that is needed at all, it gives you bragging rights, which on MT Factions, is everything, and besides, why feed the rich with more stuff giving them even more of an advantage over others.
    2. The obsidian breaker is up for debate, personally, I am against it and have my reasons, but I do understand both arguments and will not be too displeased to see it in. Although it'll change Factions drastically.
    3. The economy on Minetime Factions last year was at an all-time high appraisal. Yea sure people were making more money than they had prior, but if you think about it. There were only a few players who were able to break 100mil from the server's point in which it was still active, this is no different than players hitting 1 billion on Prison, they just go the extra mile to get there. The spawners prices were fixed up appropriately due to the droppings worth. When we were making the shop, myself and the rest of the crew who helped with the prior reset decided that creepers were worth more due to them dropping gunpowder which is able to be used for tnt. As well as gunpowder being able to be used for tnt, the iron gollums dropped flowers more often than not, reducing the amount of iron dropped which quickly made a huge difference in profit made from creeper spawners than iron gollums.
    4. Although I agree with this point, I believe it should be a very small profit, involving another major way to make money on Factions would split the common way of income bringing a unnecessary variety of plugins on the server.
    5. Kits were our major discussion over the past reset, we decided to leave it with p3 due to the vast amounts of p4 showing up every reset without having p4 within kits. With that being said, we discussed maybe Timeless paying more than double the Admin rank should be given some sort of extra features other than 7 homes. We discussed implementing a once a week p4 unb 3 set with a sharp V along with the /kit admin daily for Timeless. Giving Admin a kit that contains p4 would break the p4 economy and ultimately make it plummet in price defeating one of the major contributors of why Factions is loved so much on Minetime, the pvp and risk factor behind not having insane amounts of p4 to throw around.

    Sorry to rip apart your whole suggestion list but I feel it necessary to explain the decisions behind what we did while setting up the reset so not only you can understand but others as well.

    1. That is a fair point, but I still think /f top rewards would be a nice touch/addition. You're not necessarily feeding the rich, but rewarding the number 1 faction for getting to that spot, because as you said, they put in the extra mile.
    2. Yes, obsidian breaker is a big debate. Personally, I'm not too fussed about it, but I'd like it to be added.
    3. Fair point on creeper spawners, but I still believe the economy was far too rich. It was too easy to get spawners and money, and I'd prefer to see players working harder to get money. I'm not saying change it drastically, but change it so it's more of a challenge, because personally I found no challenge in afking a couple of hours a day to make a few million.
    4. Good to see that you agree.
    5. I understand that you may find lots of p4 in resets without it being in kits, but paying $150 for p3 isn't enough. If not p4, then at least give admins something higher because I feel like p3 is an absolute rip off. I wouldn't mind your idea of having a p4 kit once per week.

    I have nothing else to add as we got our points across on everything but on the kits. If someone is willing to pay 105$ now for Admin, they have to be willing to play the game as well, it would just simply be far to easy for many to use a kit and have some p4. There is a reason things like /kit goldenapple are out, they were simply to rewarding for the money put in, as we thought to give p4 daily, even every few days when you can simply combine p4 every two days.

    So I know that P5 and P6 was something popular back in the 1.7 days (Heck, I was guilty of buying it a few times). My question for everyone: Would you like to see some sort of P5 or P6 in Factions again? The only difference is that it would be obtained ingame and you wouldn't have to pay money. That being said, the way you obtain it would have to be next to impossible? Should it be something in an exceptional crate? Open to your feedback.

    P5 would be really nice honestly. It gives you that touch of 1.7, but less op than P6. Make it the hardest item to get out of exceptional crates, I think that's the best way. Maybe, even a rarity for /f top rewards, that's if you were to add rewards for /f top :)

    Personally, I would love to see this in the game more than anything. If it were to become a part of the reset though, you would really have to think long and hard about the consequences of having that little amount of p6 in the game if you were to have it in the exceptional crate. With the p6 I believe if it were implemented within the factions game should put but into the lucky crate if any of them. It would give players an incentive to vote more often, while at the same time having a little better of a return, the chances of getting an exceptional key, then, in turn, getting p6 from the crate are next to impossible. It would create a massive problem over who has the 3-4 sets of p6 and if they would ever step foot in pvp you know as well as I do, sadly that ddossing is a strong possibility. But if it were less rare and actually an item you could have to pvp with and not be afraid of losing 1 of 10 sets on the server, it would be more enjoyable. As I write this I think even Lucky Crate may be a bit far-fetched but I would like to see better rewards within the crates so maybe not.

    I am against obsidian breaker. It's too much of a hassle making a large obsidian. base and then taking a long time to figure out how to make it tnt proof then installing this contraption which is larger than 2x the base itself, and a lot of times it doesn't even work properly! It honestly isn't hard raiding people without obby breaker, there are some options, but as the saying goes, good things come to those who wait.

    A solution is to make obsidian drastically more expensive so it is used more sparingly and makes raiding easier as people wont have this resource readily available.

    Factions has grown up without obsidian breaker and me and a lot of others would like to keep that nostalgic sense to it.

    The iconic spawnbases of factions would also become obsolete for obvious reasons, which is bad.

    BRING BACK MOB ARENA!

    Also give me incentive to new players such as a good starting kit. 90% of new players join, die in kit starter, and leave forever, a better one-time starter kit will give them more incentive to actually get in the game. However this can be abused by alts.

    With p6 I think you should make it slightly more common, i.e in the lucky chest or it can be bought as a KIT PVP in the store = big profits for you guys. Having the get an exceptional key is bad enough but getting one and the CHANCE of getting p6 from an exceptional crate makes the chances next to impossible, i.e, not worth it. Either putting it in the lucky chest gives players the incentive to vote as the other guy said (more votes = more popular), or making it for sale in the store,- more money for you and more convenient for us , everybody wins.

    THE ADDITION OF p5/p6 gives us something to go for and brag about rather than being mediocre and having to lie about the 100 dubs of p4 people have.
