EDIT: (Title) New Plugin Idea I have thought of a way how to reduce scammers in the Minetime community. This does evolve some extra work for @drtshock but I think it is worth it. I don't know if any of you Minetimers played the game 'Habbo Hotel' but it does have the same trading system idea. The command will work like this. /trade deandreRULEZ123 Then a double chest will open up with 2 sections on it. One for you and one for the opponent, once you have made the trade you like you click this green box witch counts down, 3... 2... 1.... After the countdown you click once more to confirm, you also have a option to cancel the trade. EDIT: New idea. /tradetoggle
I like the idea but, Minetime already allows scamming. If you can scam on minetime what is the point of this.
How about if someone asks you to trade you can either type /trade accept or /trade deny. /trade money (Money). Then the other person would just have to put their item in.
Pulled directly from the Formal List of Server Rules. I think I can speak on behalf of many on Skyblock, in that no one likes being scammed. And usually those that do scam are shunned by the community on there. I do think this would be a great plugin, but not necessary as scamming only gets a community to hate you.
This seems like it would be an efficient way to trade, although many people have suggested alternatives to scamming and the staff (it seems) did not look at it.
As TheFrikinAsian said You will lose the trust from the community and have a bad reputation. Skyblock hardly ever have scammers ( I have seen one or two ) and Prison it is a way to make fast money. Factions i don't play but i believe there are as many scammers as on prison ( about 10 -30 scams a day my estimate) so i don't really think it would have been a useful plugin on the servers. ps. Scamming on survival is not necessary
Bad idea. If you don't have the mental capacity to notice when you're being scammed, don't do trades.
Here's how it could work out. These are what each block would be renamed into in the trade inventory. Redstone: Border Nether Star: Money traded Head: Your name Green clay: Accept Trade Red Clay: Deny Trade Glowstone: Ready Bedrock: Not Ready Gold Nugget: Trade Money (Another screen) Inner Area: Items wanted to trade Money Trade Inventory Netherstar: Money Gold Nugget: Would open an anvil and you would put in the amount of money wanted to trade. Putting in letters will result trade cancel Green clay: Accept Amount Red clay: Decline Amount Gold: Amount of money wanted to trade I don't know if this is understandable.
