Yea, no. This is literally going down the drain. For a start, 50% of the Helper Applications are screwed due to a lack of rule enforcement. Don't get me wrong, I love being free. People are swearing the most abusive swear words left and right, people spam the channel, people advertise and there's been so much abuse that it's funny even when it's not meant to be. I get that it's human nature to be immature, but I'm just curious as to how the rules are going to be enforced. Another issue I've seen is people being punished on the forums for stuff they do on Discord. Why would you punish on one platform for the offence committed on another? That's like banning someone in game for rate abusing on the forums! I'm just so concerned about it. It's fun and all but things get too carried away *cough* @Lohren's porn *cough* and it's too crazy.
I agree, I said some stuff on discord, although it was a PM and the player screen shotted it and posted it on my helper app, just to hinder my chances. I do agree, there is a lot of abuse it needs to be moderated more.
If it was in a private message on Discord, it technically has nothing to do with Minetime as it's not an official channel. People should never use evidence outside of Minetime against people. It's like using Skype evidence... Edit - Why the disagree? It's a true fact.
I didn't really expect the channel to get so toxic, but I guess that was ignorant of me. The Discord server was ideally created for players to voice chat while playing the game. If the text chat continues to be abused, perhaps disabling the text channels is not a bad idea - as you can text chat on the forums and game server. I haven't heard much on this. Do you mind giving me an example?
I think it was either Lohren or Fantasy that got muted on the forums for Discord behavior? People would still swear their heads off with voice chat lol and not everyone is able to speak. I'm also wondering how I'm able to talk and people can hear me when I do not have a mic on my headphones?
My apologies, but I was told that one of them got punished for Discord stuff? xD My memory isn't 100% at the moment, sorry.
If they aren't able to speak, there isn't much of a reason to join the Discord server. I am assuming you are on a laptop, so it most likely has a built-in microphone.
: ( They recently began enforcing the rules though, to the point where a staff member (won't mention whom publicly) threatened to ban me for spam (despite only posting something three times), so I don't think we need rule enforcing now lol.

i dont even know how to work discord and im scared cause once the mic was left on and i didnt realize
I was on for about 3+ hours the other day in the am and had no issues at all. I think I only had to delete one message that entire time. Was impressed actually. Maybe instead of removing the text(general) channel we could have more of a staff presence and maybe we could see better behavior from you guys(general statement). You guys wanted a discord or TS and Tyler gave you that. How hard is it to be thankful and follow the rules? I mean if it's that or no general channel, it would be an easy decision for me.
I've actually suggested more Discord staff I believe the community should still be more respectable tbh
