Minetime's decline in players from 2015-2016 had nothing to do with the server. Most of the player base here are people who started playing when Minecraft was the coolest game for anyone to have and we were all 11-12-13. Now we're growing up. And Minecraft is turning from a cool game into a game that only the 'nerds' play. We're just all growing out of the game, and we can't stay off the forums.
I was just stating that I wasn't able to read the whole thing, because I like procrastinating and since before that I'm entirely sick and I don't wanna put up with this, and my apologizes if I started some war on the forums, but I was just stating that since you said "Minecraft's a game that only the 'nerds' play" That hit a nerve to most of us because not all of Minecraft players are
stereotypical nerds, or nerds at all. I only wrote/said this whole paragraph or statement because it's wrong how you said it's declining, it's not declining, if anything, most people probably don't know MT's new address. So my apologizes (again) if I failed to send a random joke through.
Minetime to me wasn't declining, nobody got "sick" of MT, so far, I remember one of my friends computers stopped working, now he doesn't have one, therefore he cant play minecraft, Minecraft is still popular yes, but the population of MT isn't half of Minecraft, you can't expect MT to have loads of players anyhow.
@Insomnia_Awakens, do you see how many players on here have quit? You probably don't realize (youve only been on these forums since 2016) but probably 75% of the active player base from 2014 is gone, and that's because they are growing up and getting too old for Minecraft. And there's not enough new people coming and starting a new community of new players.
Sure, I've been on the forums since 2016, but I've been with MT for the past 4 years, I know how bad the population has dropped, just because it has, doesn't mean you need to bring it back up...
I agree minecraft is "just a game for nerds." At school, everyone makes jokes about minecraft and I'd be to embarrassed to tell anyone I still play it. As for the player count drop, I'd like to say it's because of the combination of minecraft as a game dying and minetime being a badly updated server. A ton of people left just waiting for them to bring minetime back up.
I don't think minecraft as a game is really dying, it's just the people playing the game are very young, and they aren't playing it on PC. PC minecraft is dying, while I know console and PE minecraft is doing really good right now. Less people are playing online PC, and more are playing on their iPads and stuff.
Angel, that's exactly what my brother does. He plays Minecraft on the PS, iPad, and xbox. I introduced him to the pc game one time and let him use one of my alts, but he couldn't figure out the keys. I even switched around the controls and made walking the arrow keys, but it was too hard for him.
Same with my brother. He loves minecraft, but only plays on the Wii and iPad. Same with all of his friends. It's still a really big game on everything other than PC.
