I started playing the Skyblock server about 3 days ago, and on the first day I planted a sapling. I come back about 2 days later and it still has not grown. So I play for like an hour and it still is just a sapling. Its on a dirt block with plenty of space. Does anybody have a solution to this? why wont you grow.png

I have encountered this problem before, usually I have to replant the sapling. I can give you some Bonemeal to help it grow if you like. I will be on for the next few hours.

Currently, entities will not update if a player is a far distance away.

@Darklight did say he played for an hour and it did not grow. My guess is the sappling may need an "update" to reset the growth timer.

That is kinda weird but it is really easy to kill skeletons so just make bonemeal! :)

All you should do is bonemeal the tree, get bones from spawn at the mobs dome.

Staying on your island helps, and keep people there. Bonemeal is also a great idea. Replant it once in a while, and if something is above it move it somewhere else.

    Light level. It's advised to
    - stay near tree (keep its chunk loaded)
    - provide room enough to grow
    - provide light level 9 or above

With a torch put nearby, it could make trees grow really quickly, no matter whether it's beneath open sky or not.
