Why is Minetime lobby 1.8??

    Many people use clients before 1.8 to play Infection Skyblock Skywars Oppvp PvPfest ect. WHY is the lobby 1.8 now I know from experience A lot of players will leave the server.

    You're right. The amount of people that left factions when it turned 1.8 is drastic.
    Now Infection, skywars, op pvp...
    PvPFest.

    Minetime will die quickly I'd say in abut 2 days only 20-30 people on

    The "fake" 1.8 builds we have been using that allow 1.7 clients have been unsupported for almost 7 months now. We were actually one of the last servers to support 1.7 clients. I had to update Minetime's servers to full 1.8 today in order to patch a critical crashing exploit.

    I doubt it will come to 20-30. That's just over the top.

    IMO that is nonsense. I expect the player count to drop only a tiny amount if at all.

    Is there any way to have someone code you a build like drtshock to allow 1.7 clients to come on? and also what does that mean for Infection, Skywars, Skyblock, Pvpfest, OpPvp, and Survival?

    No and it means you can't use 1.7 clients on those servers anymore.

    Would it mean that those servers within the coming weeks would get updated and or reset and if so will there be a post about it? And if I can code and or pay someone to code a bungee cord/spigot that would allow 1.7-1.8.4 users to join and be easily updateable?

    Just because I am updating the servers to 1.8 does not necessarily mean they will have major resets or updates, though certain servers will be reset/updated soon (PvpFest and Survival).

    The 1.7 through 1.8.4 support you mentioned isn't possible.

    Realistically it would cost to much to pay someone to code it for you but if you know and have enough experience with JavaScript and just Java in generally you can take the time to go line by line of coding instead of rewriting it and just editing it. Sure if its just 1 person might take a couple of months depending how much free time you have and even years. But if you have enough people who know what there doing and working together it can be finished quite quickly.

    It is possible but it would take forever and that's also how several hack clients are made by finding errors in the coding and abusing them such as "latemod", "resilience", "huzuni", "weepcraft", and "nodus" as top ones for doing that.

    It would be worth the effort if you look at it from a factions player sort of view. From @xavier051 sort of view. From a PvPFest and OP PvP sort of view where all the 1.8 clients suck and all the 1.7 clients don't.

    Does this mean that PvPFest and Survival will be reset soon or is there a certain update or spigot build you're waiting for? @CollinPotato
