I got on the bus late because i was helping a friend on crutches with her backpack, so when i got on the bus my friend was already forced to sit with someone in case I wasn't coming on the bus. I sat in the seat in front of my friend. Halfway through the bus ride, I raised my neck and softly poked my friend sitting in the seat behind me. Afterward, the bus driver yelled at me, and said I had to sit in the front (close to her seat) for THE REST OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Was that harsh? Then, when I got home I told my mom about it, and she said "You're a sixth grader now, you should know better than to poke someone." I feel like sitting in the front for like a week would have been okay but, THE REST OF THE YEAR? Kind of seems harsh to me ._. Was I wrong? I feel like a year is kind of harsh. . . What do y'all think? I don't want to sit with our bus driver, she's really mean
I would just walk to school everyday. Maybe even have your mom have someone carpool with you so then they can take you to school by car, or you could always just let your parents take you to school (why do so many people get embarrassed when you parent takes to school anyways? Almost everyone does it at my school).
It was from school, and my parents don't have time. Also, the school is almost an hour by car away, and I can't walk that far
Dang, that sucks. I don't get a bus to school so I'm not sure how bad it is. It sounds horrible though.
Oh, I'm not sure then. Sorry, maybe ask your principal about it....? I've never been on a school bus in my life other than field trips, sorry. Good luck!
I'm in 7th grade and our school decides on giving us a "taste of everything" so I have English, Math, Science, History, Latin IA, French IA, Composition, Classics, Art/Gym/Stock Market every day. Our school even lets us carry our back packs around school with us because we have so much stuff. ._. Besides I live 2 minutes from my school so I don't see my bus driver a lot. xD
Reasons why I drive to school now. Your bus driver probably thought you were just standing, even though you really weren't standing, and didn't know you just poked your friend. You could try explaining this to your bus driver and say you were just checking to see if your friend was okay.
My old bus driver was a maniac She would either come early, and ditch everyone who wasn't there Or come so late that by that point all the kids would have gotten to school some way or the other Then she tries to win our heart back by giving us cupcakes and food But she gives like only 10 because she's a cheapo Thank god I'm getting a new bus driver.
Our bus driver looks to be around 50, and she's a mean old lady. If you even put your foot in the isle, she'll yell at you.
