Hello Minetimers! As you may have noticed, some of Minetime's servers (hub, hub2, and op) were messed with today. It was simple stuff like WorldEditing spawns into lava. Everything has now been fixed and secured. The three affected servers had their worlds loaded from a backup and no players should be affected as inventories and enderchests were retained on OP PvP. Here's what happened in bullet-point form. Jacob is a Minetime developer and is op on all our servers Jacob's account was compromised (that's all we know) Whoever was on Jacob's account griefed hub, hub2, and OP PvP Jacob let us know what happened to his account We took away all the account's permissions and banned it on all our servers We restored the affected servers by reloading them from recent backups Jacob is currently in the process of recovering his account Thanks for your patience! - Potato
No, just until I resolve this issue. Its just to protect the server until I get full control over my account back.
Is it just me or is Op PvP always one of the affected servers...? Anyway, thanks for the update. I wasn't home so I didn't know about this. It's good to know.
@CollinPotato good to hear all was fixed, but any hacker could crack staff accounts by brute-forcing or rainbow tables and grief again, please advice staff to get long passwords to avoid this kind of hacking
