    A disturbing issue has recently been brought to my attention. It is an issue that many of us are already quite familiar with, plagiarizing builds.

    This is just a short message to those who would attempt to take credit for other's work: "We will catch you and you will never get onto the build team".

    Plagiarizing builds and other work will completely destroy your reputation. Stealing another's work is dishonorable and dishonest, you bring shame onto yourself and those around you. Unfortunately, on these forums, that is usually about where the consequences stop.

    However, I will issue this public warning to all these plagiarizers:
    Further in life, plagiarism is a serious offense. Not only does it destroy your reputation and credibility, but you can be expelled from schools for it. Plagiarizing could also result in severe legal and monetary penalties. Copyright laws are very strict, stealing other's work could result in the filing of a criminal lawsuit and perhaps even a prison sentence. Furthermore, the person to whom the work actually belongs may sue the plagiarizer and receive significant monetary restitution.

    So, next time you want to steal someone else's work to try to look cool, take a step back and think carefully, it will not end well for you.

    I'm actually wandering why one hasn't been made before. Well, this should help cut down on the number of fake builds!

    Yeah, I couldn't really find a way to lessen the vocabulary without partially losing the message that I desired to convey. With a lesser vocabulary comes a lesser severity and a lesser meaning.

    These "kids" will just have to learn how to look words up on Google.

    Piracy tends to indicate the theft and/or unauthorized reproduction and selling of physical property, such as movies, games and various other products.
    Plagiarism tends to refer more to the theft and/or close imitation of intellectual property such as designs, ideas and language.

    Basically plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.

    I plagiarized that by the way.

    As long as you don't claim to have designed the White House I think you'll be fine. Though, I doubt you'd get into the build-team by making a replica of an existing building.

    Essentially, as long as you give proper credit to the original creator and do not infringe on any copyrights or patents then you're okay.

    Im going to say this right now, to everyone who is watching this thread, and this is very important:
    IF YOU ARE CAUGHT STEALING AN IMAGE TO GET INTO THE BUILD TEAM, YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED, AND IF APPLYING AGAIN, WILL NEVER BE ACCEPTED AGAIN.

    Like Jess has said, Plagiarism = Poopoo
    Poopoo= Smelly
    Smelly = bad.
    Bad = NO BUILD TEAM.

    So listen to what Jess said.

    (Seriously)

    If you use anything that is not fully your work or idea, you must give credit to the original creator.
