Hey guys, Tonight I had a scouts meeting where we elected patrol leaders, then the PL's (Patrol Leaders) chose APL's (Assistant Patrol Leaders) for their designated patrol. My PL's name is Alfred, he has been in scouts for 3 years so congrats to him. I have not even got my uniform yet and I have only been to 3 troop meetings including tonight... Yet! He chose ME to be his APL!!!!!!!!!!! I was a Sixer in the Cub Scouts program, back then, I became Seconder after 2 weeks of cubs, then bumped a guy out of my six a week later because my leader thought that I needed to replace him as Sixer... Anyone else here a Sixer/PL/APL?
I basically got chosen to be one of the Co - Leaders of my scouts group within my first 3 scouts sessions...
I used to be in scouts (before I turned 18), I spent a lot of time in my town's troop and served in several positions including PL, Troop Guide, Instructor and ASPL. I was also a CIT briefly at my area's summer camp. Congrats on APL, glad to see there are still a few scouts out there.

Congrats! I'm in Boy Scouts myself. This would be my 3rd year in the troop. I am the Webmaster; I design and maintain the troop's website. I'm glad to hear that you're very excited for scouts. It's a great program and you will get a lot of leadership experience out of it. My suggestions are to set goals. Set a goal to earn Eagle Scout one day. Become a patrol leader yourself, too! I'm a Life Scout (that's a rank for those of you that don't know). The next rank, and the final one, is Eagle for me. I'm really excited.
I have been aspl in my troop for the past three years, so one tip do not volunteer for paper work. Also what rank are you?
