Why: Don't you all remember when PvP Fest was almost overwhelming with the amount of players it used to have? PvP Fest is what made Minetime unique. Why? Because it was one of (if not the only) "big" server that allowed hacking. I remember PvP Fest being fun and chaotic, which is what you'd expect from it. But now, it is not. It has died. And staff has failed to see why it has died and aren't really doing much to fix it. Resolutions: Let's start with the basics: The Map - Gets old really quickly and is a little too big for the small amount of players that play. Not the biggest problem, but still an issue. The Kits - There are two kits. That's really sad for something called "PvP Fest". There is no diversity. I would recommend weekly or monthly kits, and kits that give you special abilities. For example: Time based kit ex: Daily Kit - Gold armor with protection 3 helmet and boots and protection 2 chestpate and leggings and a stone sword with sharpness 1 Ability kit ex: Venom Kit - Green or black leather armor with protection 2 with a stone sword that has a small chance of giving the opponent the poison effect The possibilities are endless really, but the kits need to be diverse and interesting. Money - There is no other way to get money other than voting, which doesn't have a good gameplay aspect. Perhaps, whenever you kill someone you get a dollar or two. Maybe, if someone kills enough people, they can level up. Maybe the higher the level, more money is earned when that person is killed. This way, people would want to pvp more and it would add a form of economy. The Shop - The shop isn't really a major issue, but it could be improved. Perhaps add more items, like more potions and maybe tags. That would add even more reason to pvp and to earn money. Tag Ex: [Admin] WaterMahLone [Smexy] : This is a tag example. Conclusion: I genuinely care about Minetime. I've been a devoted player since 2015, and I want this server to succeed and I want it to be popular again. I feel if PvP Fest (the minigame that made Minetime popular) would be brought back to life again, then it would "revive" Minetime. I agree, especially with the map. The map is much too big for the amount of players, and it doesn't bring any unique elements. I liked the old map, as it was fun and action packed.
Exactly, it gets old quickly. Especially since there is no good gameplay that comes with PvP Fest nowadays.
I agree that there is a variety of things that could be done to PvPFest to revamp the server. I think the current map is a great build, but may be too big for the current player count, seeing the old map come back would be cool.
10/10 support, to see this with my eyes would be amazing! New players instead of a dead beat up server only few play on change would be nice.
The new map, with all due respect to the amazing art done by its amazing makers, is still not as good, in my *cough professional opinion, as the old map. I would suggest giving admins fly but I already know how that would go. So why not just give it to everyone hows that for unique pvp huh
Another suggestion - I've seen this on other servers, and it seems to work out pretty well. Maybe every time you get a kill on PvpFest, you acquire a point, and after 10 or so points, you have a chance at getting some unique kit.
I love it, it's more detailed than the old bio dome, but I do agree it's too big for the amount of players the server has.
True that would be cool or maybe like on op when you get the most kills your #1 on some leader bord that would probably make more people want to play too
