    Okay so i have been a long time member of minetime. (since 2013) or somewhere around there. Anyways i have seen players come and go. I have also seen what makes infection infection and what makes it fun. To be honest all of these ideas are great. But a really big part of infection was the glitching part. What made it fun was the challenge of trying to get into places that you usually couldn't get into. Many many times i had map glided, phased and what not into place you couldn't get to. Even after they added barriers I would fly under them and then fly back up to get to another map. A HUGE HUGE part of infection was hacking. And to be honest, I loved it being unfair. (Even when i started out) It was just fun being able to watch the other people glitch and phase and what not and I just can't say it enough that it was fun because of this. I do think sharpness 20 bows are op and those could be removed, but please dont get rid of all of the glitches that we could do to get into spaces that in normal Minecraft you couldn't. Flying with the hitting glitch was also so much fun and yeah xD. I don't have much to say than this. I also don't have that many idea's but since i played infection so much I think I could give some insight on what made Infection fun!

    And to be honest, I and lots of other people mostly played infection to expliot those glitches. So i don't care about nerfing that and this, but i just want the anticheat to stay the same as it was before. (And maybe leave some of the spots and maps where we could glitch) And i know it wouldent be as fun for those who don't have hacks, but I mean they have an oppertunity to get them and there not disallowed so I don't think it would be that unfair.

    Since there’s no more sharp 20 bow I have completely different propositions

    - Update NCP to latest version, this forces users to use newer clients and have actual skill advantage instead of 50/50 (you need gamesense, instead of just better gear or luck)
    New nocheat introduces better hit registration because their old reach checks calculating movement were actually broken. This also fixes gliding, as you intended.

    - Replace all axes with swords, you can’t block with an axe and if you know anything about HvH you know axes are 50/50, instead of whoever’s cheat is better (also all crits are the same I’ve said that 1000 times.)

    - Remove skip phasing (this’ll come with the new NCP update, note that phasing IS still possible, just not Skip phasing, won’t explain that, most people know what it means, it’s an old cheat)

    - The current rule set makes games shorter (That doesn’t mean I think you should change it, but find some way to make sure games last longer, perhaps rewards in earlier amount of kills can be helpful, like potions etc.)

    New people being forced to use new cheats = whole new gameplay set. Changes to the infection plugin itself are NOT needed as the only huge issue infection had was the sharp 20 bow. Any arguments about the sharp 20 bow can be disproven with facts and statistics, and I’ve done it before please fight me about it.

    I think most people here just can’t stop holding on to their nostalgia, and I can partially understand that anyways.

    I'm fairly certain that Minetime Infection was at it's peak (about 80 players) when rules about hacking were not a thing. By 2015, when they started enforcing rules against it, Infection slowly died from then on. I'll admit though, the blacklisting did not help, but Infection was dying due to things such as barrier blocks anyway.

    I'm hardly 'just' holding on to nostalgia. Infection was most popular with hacks back in 2013-2014. After that it declined; that should be obvious if you played back then. As for the sharp 20 bow... Statistics? Statistics about what exactly? The sharp 20 bow balanced out against humans using hacks as it meant that once a human was found after they EG glided somewhere, they were very easy to kill, along with super gaps & eggs helping with this.

    Edit: Yo, Ik you said to not just leave a disagree rating. Technically I didn't 'just' do that tho.

    Also, I hope what I wrote wasn't too snappy, cause I think it was.

    For the a new NCP plugin, I never had a problem with people using reach hacks ever (not because I hacked as well because I never noticed it, even when I wasn't hacking when I first started). Also, gliding was one of the most important things, else Humans didn't have a chance. If you couldn't glide to other maps, humans would be killed of so quickly, and makes Humans very under powered.

    The swapping swords -> axes I completely agree with as you can't block. That being said if you could make the diamond axe deal more damage with sharpness enchantments as of a trade of for not having block that could work.

    Explain to me what skip phasing is, then I might have a view.

    Sharpness 20 bows I don't have a strong opinion on, but they balanced out against people who hacked if you were playing a zombie and one of the humans were hacking. I wouldn't be to fussed if they removed it though (and yes I know I used to get really angry over this in old threads but I have kind of changed my perspective now).

    When you say were "holding our nostalgia" we quote back to when infection had players. Since people like you have began to complain about how infection needs all these changes, when it was fine. As soon as they started implementing barrier blocks and rules about not using hacks the player base died out; thus people who didn't know what it was like before complained about it. And if they did, they either didn't have enough experience on the game or didn't like it because they didn't give it a chance. You can blame Minetime's black listing, but even then we were down on players before that all happend.

    Its still extremely easy to phase with the newest NCP. Infection plugin is getting recoded due to it not being able to change anything about it.
    2 things that should also be added: 3rd voting link, and more prestiges.

    Would like to ask these questions:

    1) Should there be some challenge-like system from Skyblock where you receive rewards after completing specific criteria? - e.g., you earn five levels for completing a daily challenge of getting 25 kills.

    2) Should we introduce a Faction/Guild/Clan-like system that would allow you to create your own "group" on the server and invite people to it - The reason why people might want this is to a) show off total kills b) form teams and alliances with people. Obviously a drawback could be that some alliances are too overpowered and what if alliance members are the only ones left alive? (Instant win for them) - Would like to know community's thoughts on this.

    I love both of these ideas - the second one in particular.

    I think that a challenge system would be good, it would give people something to do & it would make the game less repetitive. Way back in the day, I suggested a clan type of thing - please add that. Too be honest, I think a clan system is necessary as people do this in a much more flakey way by 'adding' people as a team member on their hacked clients. This is a pain when someone switches to a different client & also prevents people from forming organised teams, so I think that would be a great implementation. Also, different clients do it differently, so it would be so much nicer this way, not to mention the conformity of it.

    As for these prospective clans being potentially overpowered, since they almost exist anyway due to hacked clients, I suspect nothing will change, so there isn't anything to worry about in my opinion.

    I've had a thought... Consider how maxed players often ask each other what level they have & how maxed players often still hold a passion for constantly levelling up (to the point where they have 1000+ raw levels, raw meaning not in the form of a prestige), maybe there should be an extra prefix for all players in chat that displays their current level.

    Obviously, if it was too cluttered (considering the prefixes; prestige, infection rank & donator rank) then it might not be a good idea. You could colourise the level prefix in such a way to make it seem more insignificant to the others though, but I don't know if that would be enough.

    Edit: How about a /leaderboard command or something or other that displays a ranked list of players based on their current level? You could check the top players & also individual players & where they are placed. As for colours for the level prefix, how about green or dark green, as EXP gain messages are displayed as green in chat & the EXP bar & orbs are also green.

    Reply- Omg, you are extremely right! I could not have said it any better! I've also started playing during 2013 when the bow glitch still existed(zombies put the bows in inventory and get it as humans) . I loved every single glitch! loved it! The best times for infection was unarguably 1.7. When everyone used Huzuni, Resilience,etc! It was the best times!My favourite part was map jumping!, Where you fly/glide to other maps! It was extremely amazing and stayed up all night playing infection! The only reason i bought CEO was infection and also the reason i joined the server! -gianni2611
