    Hey Minetimers! It's TheVSterbro once again with a forum guide! For those new players out there, hopefully this will help you. Tagging, Rating others, Old threads, Smilies and some basic 'How to's!'

    Tagging
    Tagging is when you alert someone in your post or thread. For example, you could say, 'Hey @TheVSterbro' and that person you tagged (me) would recieve a alert. Tagging is often used to contact staff quickly in a player report, if something is wrong with the server or they lost their island and such. It is not recommended to tag more than 3 staff members in a player report. In threads like 'Who is your best friend?' you can tag as many members as you want ;)

    Ratings
    There are two sides to ratings, positive and negative. Neutral is more in-between those two, not too bad nor too good. Ratings are used to rate others post or thread positively or negatively. Everyone in Minetime has an enemy or two, this can be a problem with the ratings. People you don't like would often be rude and immature to you, and rate you negative ratings. Spam rating is another problem, it can be used in a good or bad way. When there's an argument, I've learnt it's better to go with the flow. So far, @daelwolf has the most likes, @VolgaDecimo second, followed by @CollinPotato! :D
    Positive Ratings: Like, agree, funny, winner, informative, friendly, useful and creative
    Neutral: Disagree and optimistic
    Negative: Dislike, CamelCase, bad grammar/spelling and dumb

    Old Threads
    These threads you wouldn't see often, until a member replies to it. A lot of members would reply to these old threads to gain more messages. I don't want to say any names but, he's near the top of the notable members list. Luckily most people have stopped this. It isn't a very good idea to reply to a thread, that is already answered and such. You'll only get people saying stuff like 'You didn't have to reply to this!' 'I'm gonna rate you Dumb!' So yeah, not a very good idea.

    Smilies
    Here is a list of smilies.
    First is the basic smily face, :), you can either press the icon saying 'Smilies' or make them yourself.

    :) = : ) (No space in-between)
    ;) = ; ) (No space in-between)
    :( = : ( (No space in-between)

    :p = : P (No space in-between)
    :D = : D (No space in-between)

    :oops: = : oops: (No space in-between : oops: )
    :rolleyes: = : rolleyes: (No space in-between : and rolleyes: )
    o_O = 0_O

    :);):(:mad::confused::cool::p:D:eek::oops::rolleyes:o_O

    How to's!
    First, player reports. To create a player report, you must make sure you set it out correctly.
    Your IGN:
    Reported IGN:
    What they did:
    Any other evidence?:
    Screenshot:

    Also make sure to tag a staff member, like daelwolf, as he is very active on the forums and the server. It is better to tag in a player report so they problem can be resolved quickly.

    Signature
    To create a signature, scroll to the top of the page, and click your name. For example 'TheVSterbro' for me, and click signature. You can put whatever you wish in your signature, rude and immature things or pictures though may be deleted.

    Avatar
    If you don't have an avatar, or you want to change yours, there is a lot of different ways! You can have someone like @DumbDiamonds to create a Cinema 4D photo for you. There is also the choice of using this website: http://novaskin.me/ to make a picture. However, you can only use Internet Explorer 9 or Google Chrome to access this website.

    That is all! I hope this helped, and took up your time to read it! xD

    I don't have the time or I'm too lazy (probably the latter) to make a guide like this.

    Wow, nice job. Why is optimistic a neutral rating though?

    Because if someone says something like, "Hopefully I can be unbanned!", it is positive, but doesn't mean it will happen, therefore it is neither positive or negative, making it neutral.

    Not just IE9 and Chrome. It would also work with Safari, Firefox, Opera, Simple Web, Netscape (modified version) and tons of little known browsers. Just saying.
