Flying? Ok that's it I think you've actually gone insane... People can somewhat fly already by hacks... but the ability to fly without hacks? You could just fly away...
I think players are forgetting the fun infection is. I would suggest an attempt at a player boost on infection.
Infection needs to be balanced out. I completely understand the need for a reward of achieving the highest rank in the game but not something that is just plain over powered. I think if the sharpness 20 bows were removed (I do like the idea of a custom enchanted item though, just not one that kills everything instantly), maybe also some map re-makes, people would indeed start playing again.
