What do you think happens to lost data or something else technical lost? For Example: We lost empires, where did the blocks go??? Tell me what you think happens?
The data from Empires was simply deleted everything that was on Empires was basically put out of it's misery and ceases to exist anymore all that remains left of Empires now is the Empty Portal in Hub and the good and bad memories of the players who played it while it worked before it got too many problems on it that it eventually had to be put out of it's misery.
