This post is just pure ignorance. I'm an atheist myself, yet can understand how religion or a belief in a higher power/God could be without it being a government/Illuminati scheme. For example, some people may take comfort believing their loved ones are being taken care of even after death, and would prefer to believe in heaven than to believe nothing at all. A devout Christian may have just been raised on such believes and so that's all they know. Poverty and severe illness may also put people into a scenario where believing in a God (to pray, ask for help and such) is helpful for their mental health. Atrocious behavior and blatant disrespect towards those who choose to believe. also your mom has big boobs
I'd argue that holding beliefs which are purely based on faith alone is generally unhealthy and that anyone who turns to an imaginary friend in trying times needs actual mental help based in science, not religion. Also no, you're mom has big boobs.
I agree with you, but it's my opinion that anyone can believe in what or who they want, and that people should respect that OR at the very least not comment on it at all (with the rare exception of an open discussion). Just don't start praying to Jimmy Savile. I personally think religion is a bit silly, and would go as far as to call certain religious people gullible. And you got me there at the end
