If you change your Minecraft name your island should not be removed, however if it does email [email protected] and he can fix it for you. I recommend taking down signs off chests and your store (if you have one) so nothing can happen to your stuff.
Email him only if your island is removed after you change your name, and the email you use does not matter.
Your island will be in your old name still, however Moderators and up are able to transfer ownership to your new username, so don't be discouraged by that if you want to change your name.

If you do change your username, make sure you get rid of all shop signs on your island. Otherwise, you won't be able to access them or get profit because it's under your old username.
