Hello, recently I have noticed the player count on op pvp has had a humongous drop in its player count. So I'm here today to make a couple of suggestions to maybe help it grow again. Suggestion 1: Sharpness 15-30 Axes. I have suggested this because these items really are "op" They do a lot more damage than a regular sharpness x axe. Also player would only be able to acquire this from buycraft. Suggestion 2: Protection 11 armor "kit timeless" Protection 11 armor would counter with sharpness 15 and 30's This would also encourage more timeless players to play on op. Also, this could cause more people to buy Timeless rank. Suggestion 3: A new map. A new map would most likely bring a reset. With a reset players would have to start over. Since we are no longer abiding by EULA rules players can buy sharpness 15-30 axes and love the game again. Op PvP was the main reason I started playing minetime. And to see it like this with around 15 players is really depressing. Know its time for it to shine once again. Suggestion 4: More Player Vaults. Players like me like to farm golden apples. I like to farm a whole inventory at a time. Sometimes players acquire too many golden apples. Once this happens they usually end up on an alt storing things. This not only wastes time but makes it hard for the player to store his or her golden apples. These are all my thoughts thanks for reading
Tbh i like this idea but, the part were you said " Also this can cause more people to buy timeless, and if they get sharpness 15 and 30 axes ECT... that will be Paid2Win so we don't want minetime going down again and kits going away. op should stay as is.
I like the new map idea but I think sharpness 30 axes are to op people can outhit with a normal sharp 5 axe imagine a sharp 10 and I don't like to support play to win Sorry but no support
Add p11 to counter sharpness 30? What drugs are you smokin? 1 extra protection for 20 extra sharpness levels. OP just needs a reset in general. Sharpness 15 would be nice but even if they were added the chance of getting an exeptional key is like 1/200 (I don’t know exactly) and then even if you got a key there’s about a 1/15 chance of getting that axe so it would hardly be game changing.
In order to bring people to oppvp, you cannot just buff items. This theory you have will, in fact, worsen the population that is currently presented among the op pvp server. If you add sharpness 30 axes, and noobies join and get 2 shot. Do you think they will stay? No If you add sharp 30 axes + str 2 pot + thorns 3 against p11 - Do you think the fight will last long? No Anyone who has a sharpness 30 axe will dominate the pvp arena and will continuously destroy their opponents. You will have no match for it unless you match their loadout. In the reformation of the minetime oppvp server, you must understand the basic principle that creating a pay-to-win environment will never generate popularity. Adding more player vaults, once again, would not bring popularity to oppvp because killing someone would not reward you anything except a few mcmmo experience and useless broken gear. If everything is stored in a vault, what is there to fight for? ---- Your only valid point: New map: You are not the first to bring up this point, as I have told this staff team and server and all the builders that oppvp needs a new map. They will agree with you, but nothing will be done. You cannot count on the builders of minetime. If you want a map on any server, we once again need a build competition where the community can submit builds. It seems as if that's the fastest and most effective manner in choosing a new map for oppvp. Adding a new map will boast excitement, but it will not keep the oppvp population stable. Minetime has so many servers, it will be hard to balance them all out with the current average of players that play on minetime.
Going to pin this thread and make it the official suggestions for OP PvP. What do you think about changing the map to the PvPFest Map that was used between 2015 - 2017... It's a fairly big map and it would definitely be a change. Or, should we instead keep the current map?
As a big pvpfest player at that time, I think that would be awesome! Some players may not like this, and definitely needs some noexits, but I would love to see that map being used again.
Though some of your points are valid the name of the server is "OP" is it not i dont think sharpness 5 and protection 10 is OP all it is a waste of time when it takes 20 minutes to fight someone.
I like the idea of the old pvpfest map but I don't think it would suit its use as op pvp because it was originally designed to be able to fly around in and I think it would just be too big. I don't know where the nice secret warps would be like we had on the last map. I just don't think it would serve its purpose as the OP map.
I don't really play op. (hardly playing minetime tbf) But adding stuff to buycraft/timeless is really just making this a paid2win. and idc about the eula p2w just sucks in general. yea I understand that servers needs $ to make profit etc etc but minetime is not a paid2win type of server (maybe a little) but just adding these items to timeless only is stupid. and as stated before if someone new joins with there /kit op and gets dropped in 3 seconds guess what, they are going to quit. (my opinion) --> Whenever you pvp on OP people just spam there /fixall and gap. no one ever gets quicked dropped because you have prot X. so my opinion/suggestion is yess add the axe. maybe not sharp 30 but a sharp 15 will do more damage to players with protection 12 armor and people will actually die quicker instead of spamming fixall and eating 20 stacks of gaps until someone runs out or gets bored. so instead of adding it to buycraft or timeless only maybe make it show you can buy the enchant at the shop or voting crates. or maybe to all 3. agreed.
Although I don't play anymore, I still remember the old op map fondly. Why do you want to cause problems and get a new one? Don't fix what isn't broken
I like the way you think. It will change the way we play Op by not having to no helming and being able to actually 1v1 normally
