Hey Minetimers! Arguably more hyped for than Half Life 3, the Minetime Prison reset is finally here! Over the past few days, the Staff Team has been working extremely hard to finish the new Prison map. As Matt stated in an earlier thread located here, the Prison server crashed and certain files were corrupted that forced us to reset the server. Instead of just resetting ranks and balances, we decided to take the opportunity to improve features as well as receive feedback from the Minetime Community on what they would like to see on the new Prison Server. This thread will outline all the new features we added, changed or removed. We received feedback using a google form located here, as well as taking into account suggestion threads that were created a few months ago. Spoiler: Ranks Price Change - We have decided to change the prices for Prison Ranks. New Prestige Rank - We have added a new prestige rank between Veteran and Legend called "Kingpin" A-Prisoner and higher can set bounties using /bounty add <name> <amount> All Prisoners can view the list of bounties using /bounty list and are able to claim bounties All Prisoners have access to /trade - Use this if you don't want to get scammed! Ranks and Prices 1. C-Prisoner - $140,000 2. B-Prisoner - $425,000 3. A-Prisoner - $725,000 4. Freeman - $1,250,000 5. Citizen - $4,500,000 6. Veteran - $15,000,000 7. Kingpin - $35,000,000 8. Legend - $75,000,000 "Why change the price?" A: By making ranks more expensive, prestige ranks are now more "prestigious" than they were before. This will prevent having everyone as a legend 2 weeks into the reset. Spoiler: Voting Changed reward from $15,000 to $3,000 - Some new players would be able to join the prison server and instantly rankup to Freeman. We wanted to better balance the system. Also to deter alt farming. Crates - Crates are finally here! Players will now have a chance at receiving Common, Lucky or Exceptional Crates when they vote. You can view the items inside the crates by going to /warp crates. 90 Vote Reward - When a player has voted for a total of 90 times (consecutive or not) you will receive a special key that can be opened for rewards! Spoiler: Kits Kit Obsidian - Timeless players now receive /kit Obsidian! Kit Food Reduced cooldown to 30 minutes Creeper - Delay is now 48 hours. Spoiler: Perks Timeless - Can set 7 homes and buy 3 cells. Admin - Can buy 2 cells Donator Mines - All Donators have access to Donor-Only mines. Use /warp donor<letter>-mine to access them. [Note: You must be the proper prison rank or you will be told that "you do not have access to this area." All Donators can mine Spawners! Added SecretPotions Premium and UP has access to /spt nightvision! VIP and UP has access to /spt speed & jumpboost! MVP and UP has access to /spt resistance! CEO and UP has access to /spt haste! Executive and up has access to /spt Spoiler: Mines Donator Mines - All Donator Mines receive mineral bonuses for the specific prison rank. Prestige Mines - Heavily requested! There are now two prestige mines for the ranks Citizen and Kingpin. These mines are a lot bigger and have more minerals! Tree Farms - All Treefarms are set up like Mines. A-Mine - A-Mine is bigger than the other mines! Spoiler: Cells & Player Shops Cells have now been added to Prison! There are five Cell Blocks, some requiring a certain prison rank to enter. You can build anything within your cell in exchange for a daily rental fee. However, if you fail to pay rent - your items will be stolen! "This will ruin factions! What about raiding?!" A: Players can store items in chests in their cell, but at a price. First, if they fail to pay their rent on time, their cell can be purchased by anyone, and are able to take all the items. Second, players can already use /chest or /echest to store items - If you're smart, that's where you put your good gear. Players are able to sell items in their cell. Simply follow the regular Chestshop tutorial. "But this will ruin factions!" A: Playershops are disabled in the freeworld and end. Further, players are able to break chestshop signs if they claim someone's old cell. Click HERE for more information on Cells! Spoiler: Guards The Guard rank is back! They are here to enforce the rules of the prison. You can see what is not allowed by visiting /warp contraband. They are also here to roleplay, not make your life miserable. "Can I be a guard?" A: No.There is no application for Guard. All Guards are Moderators and all Wardens are Senior Moderators "What about Guard abuse?" A: There is now a plugin that will prevent any player from receiving any guard items if you kill the guard in combat. Further, they are not able to drop, chest or in anyway move the items in the guard kit. However, if you are killed by a guard and they receive your items, you won't be able to get them back as the plugin removes all items when the guard goes off duty. Simply listening to Guards will prevent this issue! Spoiler: The Black Market & Contraband The Black Market is back! It is located somewhere within the Prison and sells a variety of contraband. Be warned, PVP is enabled! Items in Black Market Creeper Egg Iron Golem Spawner Creeper Spawner Super Golden Apples Diamond Armor & Diamond Sword TNT Cheaper Obsidian You can view what is designated as contraband by visiting /warp contraband. Spoiler: The Shop Netherwart dying plugin removed - Warts are now sold at a reduced price You can now buy the following spawners from the shop: Blaze, Spider, Skeleton, Zombie. You can now sell mob drops. However, spawners are extremely expensive and will take a while before you get your investment back Obsidian has been added to the shop! Special Thanks to @Matthew and @Pile... seriously... this would not have happened without them <3. Spoiler: Edit1 Fixed /list. Users will now be able to see their donator rank when they type /list. Also patched the glitch of having your prefix reset when you purchase a donation rank. Found a bug? Please report it down below! Prison is a huge server and we expect there to be quite a few bugs. So excited! Peaked at 120 players on prison tonight!! Just want to say thank you Bman for all your hard work on this reset. This would have taken weeks without your help. And thanks to Yoowy for his regioning skills. Sooo many cell blocks! Thanks to Chip for his help with the mines and Kitten for the detail work with Cells. Thank you to the build team for this beautiful map and to the players for all your patience. Hope you guys are pleased.
Thank you, all of you! I appreciate it! I can't thank you guys enough for what you've done. All of you should get some good rest now. Edit: Adding the Kit Premium, Executive, and Admin to the voting crates was a very nice touch. I was just about to make a suggestion about that. Also, I honestly love the Guard rank! It makes Prison more like an actual Prison and just makes it more fun overall. You guys really outdid yourselves.
Whoop! This has really raised our player count. I hope you guys are happy with the reset we worked so hard on it, especially @xBMAN, @Yoowy and of course @Matt and @Pile!
Wishing nick was around to see it, because he put a lot of work into the map even after he built one previously that was stolen. I'm personally thanking nick, cidny, and oy because they deserve a lot of recognition for this reset. Thanks to everyone else as well, but thats been stated in posts above.
I played for just a mere 30 minutes yesterday and I already love it. Actually, I'm pretty sure I saw the Player count get up to 130.

Fantastic reset! Now this is very and I mean very un-necessary, but I suggest we just add some trees at the grass area for some detail, just a suggestion, no hate pls. <3
